The food destination that brings the customer to the source of the ingredients
“To Elise, From Marius” is beautifully located along the coast of Helgeland, in Northern Norway.
Their ambition is to be a food destination, bringing the customer to the source of the ingredients. Not the opposite. All the main ingredients are grown locally and highlight the Norwegian seasons. Their food concept builds on the principles of “farm to table”. They grow their own herbs and have a close and personal relation to the local farmers. Especially they work actively with “Sletten Farm” to develop and optimize the quality of food production. This synergy is also visualized through a “farm tour”, where the guests get a guided tour on the farm, enjoying a stew on the barn at the end of the tour.
Also, harvesting from mountains, fjord, and forest are crucial parts of their concept. As a guest you can join the chef gathering mushrooms, berries, scallops and other delicacies in nature according to season.
Elise and Marius are the entrepreneurs behind the place, which in addition to hosting an excellent restaurant also offers accommodation and meeting facilities.
The food
The main food experience is built around a tasting menu reflecting the season’s best ingredients over six servings. In addition to the set menu, they offer considered tasting menus tailored to any event and occasion, with up to 16 – 17 servings.
